Then in 2005 she took home the Best Newcomer Award at the Cannes Film Festival for her part as Wendy on The Russian Dolls (Les Poupees Russes). She was a student at Menlo-Atherton High school in Atherton California and graduated from Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley California in the year 1985. When she was in high school she also played in Mill Valley's Ensemble Theater Company of Mill Valley.
